The project operationalised through its Transport Infrastructure Resilience Indicator provides a rating methodology, which gives the likelihood of an infrastructure project in its current configuration to reach its stated outcomes
C-Roads Portugal is part of the C-Roads platform which is a platform of Member States working on the deployment of C-ITS services. Cross-border tests will also be conducted with other C-Roads Member States. The overall objective of the Action is to ensure the continuity of secured "Day-1” and “Day-1,5” C-ITS services over the Portuguese TEN-T network and on the urban nodes of Lisbon and Porto. C-Roads Portugal is co-funded by CEF - Connecting Europe Facility
The objective of the Cooperative Streets is to progress, in the framework of the C-Roads Platform, towards the digitalisation and decarbonisation of the transport sector. Focusing in the Portuguese Core network and in 15 Portuguese 13 cities, where Day 1 and Day 1.5 C-ITS services will be implemented in urban context. This project is co-funded by CEF - Connecting Europe Facility
The OPTIMUM project is working to unveil state-of-the-art information technology solutions to improve transit, freight transportation and traffic connectivity throughout Europe. OPTIMUM is striving to bring proactive and problem-free mobility to modern transport systems.
Riding a bicycle it's good for the user and the community.
The Biklio app connects the users with stores where they receive discounts when using the bicycle as a preferred mode of transportation.
The STAQ Programme for Latin America, divided into three regional projects, for Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, was designed with the objective of linking up with the initiatives of the World Bank in the area of transport in key cities, fostering policies, sharing knowledge and cooperation to promote more efficient transport systems from the energy perspective.
The project aim to develop mobility solutions to promote social inclusion in rural or sparsely populated areas, triggering social and technological innovations and assembling startups and vulnerable citizens, which will simultaneously become producers and co-users of new mobility solutions
Boosting the scientific debate about the value of travel
The MoTiV project addresses Value Travel Time (VTT) for the individual in a combination between personality, preferences, needs and expectations, in contrast with the traditional economical viewpoint (time and cost savings), that will allow to understand and conceptualize VTT by emphasizing its “behavioral” component.

Graduated in Civil Engineering since 1984.
Complemented his academic qualification with the scholar Master Programme in Regional and Urban Planning as well as some disciplines of the Master Programme in Transportation. He also participated in several training programmes correlated to his professional activity, on technical or management perspectives.
Since 1984 collaborates in projects and studies of transportation systems in the following domains: quantitative (general mobility surveys, traffic evaluation, technical and economic viability), social (social and environmental benefit analysis of projects) and qualitative analysis (spatial and functional frames).

Graduated in Engineering of the Territory in 1996 and has a Master in Transportation since 2008.
Susana joined TIS in 1999.
Professionally, she has developed Plans of Urban Mobility for large and medium sized municipalities, as well as viability studies for new services of transport. She has also experience in using Geographic Information Systems to analyze mobility problems.
In personal terms Susana likes to highlight teamwork spirit, the willingness to always improve and look at the bright side of things.

PhD in Economic Valuation and Consumer Preferences. Founded a technology-based start-up in 2015. Professional experience related to the regulatory sector and as a University Professor in statistics.
Developed her work in the field of applied statistics and declared preference methods having experience in developing and implementing questionnaires and discussion groups. As founder of a start-up she acquired experience in the areas of mobile technologies, management and digital marketing.
Works at TIS since 2018 with a particular focus on UE funded projects in the domains of road and urban digitalization and automation.

José Manuel Viegas was Full Professor of Transport at the Instituto Superior Técnico until July 2012, where he headed the Unit of Research in Infrastructure, Systems and Transport Policies and was the National Director of Transportation Systems Area of MIT-Portugal program between 2007 and 2012.
Between August 2012 and August 2017 he was General Secretary of the ITF (International Transport Forum in the OECD), an intergovernmental organization with 59 member countries. At TIS.pt, he was a founding partner and CEO, and is currently non-executive director. He is also an independent consultant to several international organizations and companies.

Her career in Transportation started in 1977, in the operational domain, as Flight Dispatcher in foreign Airline, where she acquired international experience in Operational Planning and Coordination. Since 1995, she has dedicated herself to research and consultancy in Transportation, focusing in particular on Transport Policy and Regulation, Strategy and Institutional Design, Organization and Management of Mobility Systems.
She is a member of several international organizations, namely: Steering and Scientific Council of European Association of Transport (AET); Steering Committee of the Society for the World Conference of Transport Research (WCTRS); and Board Member of the Portuguese Association for Railways Development (ADFER).

Graduate in sociology in 1991 and Master in Transport in 2008 with a thesis on Transport strategies and policies to promote social inclusion.
Since 1993 she has been involved in transport and urban mobility studies, being a permanent member of TIS staff since 1996. She has been a vast experience in transport policies, land use as well as impact assessment studies and consultancy studies in those fields.
She is the national expert in the WG5 of CEN TC 320 (Urban Public Transport and Intermodality) and is involved in the technical commission for quality in public transport and logistics at national level.

Graduated in Environmental Engineering since 1997 followed by Post-Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (level 5).
Become a member of TIS team in 2001.
With large experience in projects related with Transport Policy Development, Sustainable Development and Mobility, Intermodality, Quality and Environmental managing systems (ISO 9001 and 14001), Energy Auditing, Security Management Systems (including auditing) and Training. Is also involved in consulting and investigation projects for the European Commission, European Parliament and other international institutions.
Furthermore, she has relevant experience in air and noise modelling and its prediction levels.

Degree in Sociology at ISCTE, the Lisbon University Institute and post-graduate in the field of Sociology and Planning as well as in Strategic Human Resource Management.
In 2006 he started working in OBSERVA an environmental-related research centre and in 2007 he moved to another research centre called CIES-ISCTE. Between 2008 and beginning of 2018, he worked as a planner and project assistant in Horários do Funchal, the Public Transport Operator in the city of Funchal, conducting technical work to support decision-making processes and developing skills in evaluation and management of several research and implementation projects in the frame of the European Social Fund, Regional Development Funds (Intervir+ and Madeira 14-20), Interreg (MAC and Europe), Intelligent Energy Europe, 7th framework programme and Horizon 2020. In 2018 he started working for TIS.pt as a consultant, where he currently stands, working collaboratively as a solution-seeker, towards a shared vision for integrated mobility.

Graduated in Economics and has a MSc in Economics and Public Policies by ISEG, with a thesis in "Public Policies in the Transport Sector: Sustainability in the Municipality of Lisbon".
Collaborated in the Mobility Survey in the Metropolitan Areas of Oporto and Lisbon.
Working in TIS since 2019, having participated in several studies that include economic analysis (cost-benefit analysis, economic profitability studies, cost-effectiveness analysis and public account) for road, rail, and metro. Has also worked in the revision of the mobility and transport plan helping prepare the public mobility account, among others.
Her areas of interest include projects that promote sustainability in the transport sector and the development of microeconomic tools in analysis methodologies.

Holds a Master degree in Civil Engineering granted by Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon), having specialised in Urbanism, Transports and Systems. His thesis was focused on airline disruption management, having used an airline as a case study and a software that uses a Multi-Agent System for disruption management.

Has worked as an English teacher and translator, having been responsible for the management of a language school.

Joined TIS in October 2018.
He developed his career as researcher and consultant in Transportation at Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon). His fields of expertise include the organization and management of transport services, business models or public policies, with a strong focus on freight and urban logistics. He also has longstanding experience in the development of simulation models.
He is a member of the Research and Innovation Centre for Civil Engineering Sustainability of Instituto Superior Técnico. Additionally, he is general secretary of ATAERA – Air Transport and Aeronautics Education and Research Association and member of the Freight and Logistics Committee of the European Transport Association.

Personally, he stresses his capacity to synthesise to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to problem solving.

As transport planner, she has been developing her technical and professional skills through the development of regional, rural and urban transport planning projects, high-speed train exploration models, urban mobility projects, public transport network planning, environment impact assessment and airport business areas. As market researcher, she has participated in multiple marketing research projects by implementing and moderating qualitative and quantitative. She has also experience in mobility products development (Maas products, apps, transport services). Over the years, she participated in several international studies developed in Europe, Cabo Verde, and Brazil.

Tiago holds a master degree in Civil Engineering granted by the University of Coimbra in 2009 and a master degree in Geographic Information Systems and Science granted by the New University of Lisbon in 2019. He joined TIS in 2019.
Professionally, he has been working in transport planning and modeling, having participated in different municipal mobility plans and other mobility projects in Belgium. From an organizational point of view, he has experience dealing with the organization of traffic counts and parking surveys.

Having worked in Portugal, Spain and the UK, Luciana has international experience in transport studies for public and corporate clients: supply and demand studies for passengers and freight, sustainable mobility and traffic studies; and in transport modelling and geographic information systems. She has also been responsible for the management of quality, environmental and health and safety systems.
She has a highly adaptable personal profile and enjoys teamwork, with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), and specialized in the field of transports, logistics and systems, focused its master thesis on the “Micro-simulation of check-in operations: case study of Lisbon Airport’s Terminal 1”, a project that lead to its collaboration on the DAISY Project, with the IST and ANA Aeroportos.
Creative, dynamic and communicative, is an integral part of TIS since 2018 where it has not only developed its professional expertise in projects in all things transportation but actively contributes on the innovation of both the company and its projects, serving as proof the progress in the fields of programming and data science through R and SQL.
Adding to the specific professional experience, its initiative and proactivity in different projects and fields induced a steady progress of its transversal competencies like project management, communication skills, among others.
